Last week Touchcore Technology limited did a seminar on ‘5 Ways to Business Growth’ presented by Ike Chinedu Kerian, The product manager at Touchcore, a creative agency and business development Firm. It was good 2 hrs spent understanding (reminding) different aspects on Commitment, Sales, Marketing, Conversion and Measurement that directly impact growth potential of any Small Business.

In the seminar session we also played an interesting game. Bret gave us 7 minutes to go around the room to collect business cards. While getting the cards he also wanted us to note down the major problem in the card givers business. Whoever collected the most cards wins.

I went around getting cards from people noting down their issue. Almost everyone I met expressed the same problem “Finding more customers to grow their business”.
Increase Sales for Business Growth

Of course, is it not every businesses’ biggest problem? Finding ways to increase Sales. After I skimmed through the seminar notes, I was able to round up top 5 ways to improve sales:

1. Increase Conversion Rate

Conversion rate is measured by the number of contacts who after checking your services and profile are willing to contact you for further questions or next steps. Your Website plays a vital role in building this conversion rate. So, make sure you have a website that works as your first marketing tool, selling your services, trust and confidence to your visitors 24×7 and helping convert them to prospects and customers.

2. Track Sales and Build Retention

An existing customer is worth as much as 5 prospects or more. Remember to reach out to them with best customer service, and additional services to support their business growth. Always invest in tools to manage and track sales and customers to build major retention and up selling strategies.

3. Streamline Word of Mouth

Its peoples driven economy. Leverage your Social Media presence to create major branding and marketing to build trusted networks that help spreading the word out to their friends and family. People believe when their friends tell them about your services and are more willing to buy from you than listening to your sales pitch.

4. Build Online Optimization

We all know your brand isn’t what YOU say it is, it’s what Google says it is. Until you are in the top pages of Google, people are not even going to know you exist. Build Search Engine Optimization, so more people can find you online which drastically improves the chances of selling your services.

5. Test, Measure and Improve

What cannot be measured cannot be improved. Measure your results to improve your ROI. Use the Website and Social Media analytics to understand and build your next steps and game plan. Use tools like CRM and Campaigns to measure the sales, pipeline and effectiveness of your marketing. Make improvements to the implementation and keep repeating the process.

Where to start?

All this is not going to happen overnight. We all know that. It takes strategy, time and commitment to reach to the business goals. You need to have an Internet Marketing partner to achieve this in a short time and be very effective.
So, why wait? Get started today! Your business is all ready to grow.
